There are No Shortcuts to Becoming Successful

Here lately I’ve been doing quite a bit of research in relation to some affiliate marketing projects that I have in the works. I have been spending considerable amounts researching different markets and products that I may want to promote. Everyday during my research it never ceases to amaze me the amount of get rich quick products that promise to make users boatloads of cash with very little work at all. Unfortunately at this time this is very profitable for those selling these programs. The real problem here is that you get people who really don’t want to work hard for anything, they just want you to hand them the magic key to success. These are the types of people that fall victim and buy these products and end up making someone else alot of money other than themselves.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret that I learned a long time ago. If something seems too good to be true, then 99 percent of the time it probably is. If you really want to be successful at anything you do, then the bottom line is that you need a good work ethic and dedication to see your goals through. Basically in life so far I’ve learned is that you are not guaranteed anything, but if you really want something then the power is ultimately in your hands to go out and get it. I know it seems simple, but lack of a solid work ethic is what holds most people back from their goals.

In the end I guess there is one advantage to those people that want to take shortcuts and expect success with minimal efforts. It means less competition for those of us who decide to apply themselves with hard work and dedication to see their goals and ideas through.

Good post, Clarke. A friend of mine (who has an investment firm) once said to me that the things that separate people who lose in the stock market from those who gain from it is dedication, consistency, and discipline. The same definitely applies to the things that you talk about.

Yeah it definitely takes alot of work to initially get going but I have not doubt that it is worth it in the end.
