So it looks like Anthony tagged me with his post on “Why Do I Blog”. Actually this is a really good question that I’ve thought about myself from time to time since I started this blog last December.
Well over the last few years I really started getting into web design as something that I found really interesting and enjoyable to do. I think I designed my first website with FrontPage around 7 years ago and lets just say that I hope a cached version of it never surfaces on the web again. Needless to say my design skills have gotten much better, but I still have a long ways to go.
So here is what I think really got me into blogging. During the last few years in addition to web design I also developed a passion for learning about internet marketing. I found myself seeking out as much information as I could about the subject, which meant I started reading aproximately 10-20 blogs on the subject daily. I feel like I learned a ton of information from these resources and it made me think of creating my own blog. I wanted to be able to pass on knowledge to others just like I learned so much from the blogs that I was reading on a daily basis.
I listed below my Top 4 Reasons on Why I Blog and Why I Enjoy Blogging.
- It gives me a great way to express myself about topics that I’m passionate about.
- I love to learn to new things and I like to pass knowledge along to others as well.
- Making contacts and meeting new people.
- I guess I could be trying to improve my writing skills, but I don’t know if that will ever happen.
So there are my reasons for blogging and I think I will pass this on to a couple of people as well.

ClarkeW,
Sounds like we have a lot in common. It’s interesting that it was an interest in web design that got us both started.
I know what you mean about “first websites”. I don’t think I even new what Front Page was yet. I just typed the code into Notepad and saved it as a HTML file.
Thanks for participating.
Thanks for the tag Clarke!
we all may start blogging for different reasons, but I think we *continue* to blog because of this capability to to share our voice with others we would otherwise have never ever met before. After almost 3 years of blogging, I’m always on the lookout for new/unique/fresh voices to add to my reads

Willow,
I’m glad to see you found my blog and I agree with your thoughts on why we continue to blog. Thanks for stopping by!
