I actually saw him in concert at the State Fair of Texas back in 1990. We were able to get right down in front of the stage for the free concert. It was free because he was just getting started at the time. The crowd grew quickly, and y the start of the concert, the whole area was completely packed. When Garth first came out on stage, he said, "Are all of you here to see me?" I think he was beginning to see where his career was headed. That was probably the best concert I've ever attended.
